The Valle Catholic Warriors Varsity Football team is 6-0 and ready for their next challenge against the New Madrid County Eagles on Friday, October 8th.
Valle hasn’t strained themselves too much so far this season. Last week they blew past the Jefferson R-7 Blue Jays 56-0, with their rushing attack doing a majority of the damage, which is nothing new for the Warriors. Bryce Giesler carried the ball 13 times for 168 yards and a touchdown. Grant Fallert also carried the ball 13 times for 115 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 72 yards and two touchdowns. Aiden Heberlie caught two passes for 64 yards and a pair of touchdowns to compliment the suffocating Valle defense, which only surrendered 65 total yards of offense to the Blue Jays.
The Eagles haven’t lost a single game this season, coming fresh off of a 34-29 win over Kennett last week. New Madrid has scored over 40 points four times this season, holding their opponents under 20 points three times.
This matchup against the Eagles may be Valle’s toughest test to date. This is the Warriors’ last away game of the season and they would like to return home with an unblemished loss column. Valle has won their last three matchups against New Madrid by a convincing margin, and you can bet they’ll do their best to keep the status quo.
Keep an eye out for these two undefeated teams to go head to head on Friday, October 8th in New Madrid County at 7 pm.
Good luck Warriors!
