Ste. Genevieve has good showing at first event of the season

The Ste. Genevieve coed cross country team was finally able to participate in a competitive meet after a summer of running, running and more running. Saturday September 12th saw the Dragons take part in the Arcadia Valley Cross Country Invitational.

Coach Sierra Boyd was happy for her team to be out there and thought “it was great to see the kids start the season strong”. Four girls and five boys ran for the Dragons at the Invitational.

Sophomore Cylie Carlson is still in the early stages of her running career and is continuously learning new things about herself and racing. “I feel that I am learning a lot and growing as a runner a little every race. I think sometimes I tell myself that I am more tired than I actually am during races, so right now I am working on the mental side of running. Hopefully this will help make me a better runner”.
