Jefferson Wins in Straight Sets Over Arcadia Valley

The Jefferson R-7 Blue Jays won their sixth game of the season in straight sets against Arcadia Valley

The Jefferson R-7 Blue Jays grabbed their sixth win of the season Thursday against Arcadia Valley. 

The Blue Jays came out on top of three straight tightly contested sets to secure the win. They won the first set 25-18, the second 25-21 and the third 25-17. 

Ava Roth had her fingerprints all over this win. She led the team with 11 kills, tied the team lead with three aces and nine serving points and was second in serve receptions with 18. 

Kirstyn Loyd was second in kills with eight. She also had three aces and tied for the team lead in assists with 15. Paige Siebert was the other with 15 assists.

Emma Brier contributed in a big way. She had seven kills, three aces and three solo blocks. Macie Waddell received 26 serves and had 13 digs. 

The Blue Jays had a whopping 13 aces and 39 kills as a team. 

“The girls played so well as a team tonight and were here early and ready to go,” head coach Tara Fish said. “They worked hard in practice yesterday and it paid off. So proud of seeing them to continue to grow together and see the excitement they have for each other’s  accomplishments.”

The win brought the Blue Jay’s record to 6-4. Jefferson will take on Crystal City Tuesday, Sep. 29.  Jefferson Wins in Straight Sets Over Arcadia Valley
