The Valle Catholic Warriors Varsity Football team’s quest to stay undefeated continues this Friday, October 15th when they take on the Westminster Christian Academy Wildcats.
Valle comes into this week off of yet another dominant effort over the New Madrid County Eagles that bumped the Warriors to 7-0. Bryce Giesler racked up 185 yards on 19 carries and two touchdowns and also had two catches for 51 yards and a touchdown. Once again, Grant Fallert was all over the field, accounting for six total scores. He passed for 139 yards and four touchdowns while running for 58 yards and two touchdowns. Aiden Heberlie had four catches for 74 yards and two touchdowns, helping propel the Warriors to a 64-22 win.
The Wildcats come into this week with some momentum off of two straight wins that bumped their record to 3-4. Last week, they beat John Burroughs 34-7 and that lone touchdown was the only score they’ve allowed in their previous two wins. They are going to give the Warriors their best shot on Friday in their attempt to pull their record back to .500.
This is the first time in recent history these two teams have met. Valle has been rolling all season and the Wildcats are gaining steam at the right time. The Warriors have allowed the other team to score in only four of their seven games this season. Combine that with their high-powered offense and they are a force to be reckoned with. Look out for these two teams to battle it out Friday, October 15th at 7 pm in Valle.
Good luck Warriors!
