The Valle Catholic Warriors Varsity Football team hosts their first home game of the season Friday, September 24 at 7pm against the St. Francis Borgia Knights.
The Warriors are coming into this game off of four straight road games to begin the season. The most recent being last week against St. Dominic. Valle ran the ball at will and took what they wanted on offense. Bryce Giesler carried the ball 16 times for 146 yards and two touchdowns. He also caught two passes for 74 yards and a touchdown. Chase Fallert suffered an injury in the game and was replaced by Grant Fallert. Grand ran for 29 yards and two touchdowns. He also completed four of five passes for 77 yards. Josh Bieser led the defense with eight total tackles and Brandon Giesler was just behind with six of his own.
St. Francis Borgia has not had much luck this year. They are 0-4 and lost last week to St. Mary’s 42-0. They have struggled offensively as of late, and Borgia hasn’t put a single point on the board since week one against Pacific.
These two sides did not meet up last year. The Warriors are being introduced to the Knights for the first time in a very long time. The Knights may be in for a rude awakening. This game kicks off at 7 pm on Friday, September 24th at Valle.
Good luck Warriors!
