The Ste. Genevieve Dragons Varsity Football team looks to end their season with a win over the Brentwood Eagles on Friday, October 22nd.
The Dragons are coming into this week off of two consecutive wins, their most recent being a dominant 55-15 victory over the De Soto Dragons. Aiden Boyer completed nine of 15 passes for 194 yards and four touchdowns in the game while Austin McBride carried the ball ten times for 136 yards and a score. Zach Boyer exploded for 210 total yards and three touchdowns on seven total touches, and Wyatt Springkamper also found the end zone twice. The Dragons defense held De Soto to just 86 total yards.
Brentwood comes into this game with a 5-3 record. They have won their last three games in a row. Last week, they blasted a winless Roosevelt team 48-6 in their final home game of the season. They started the season 2-3 before rattling off three straight wins.
Ste. Gen has had some success against the Eagles in recent years. They are 3-1 against Brentwood dating back to 2016 and have won three consecutive matchups. Last year, the Dragons trounced the Eagles 55-14, and Ste. Gen would love nothing more than to end their season with three straight wins and some momentum to carry into the playoffs. Look out for the Dragons to battle it out with the Eagles on Friday, October 22nd in Ste. Genevieve.
Good luck Dragons!
