The Valle Catholic Warriors’ Varsity Football team looks to keep their undefeated campaign rolling this week when they travel to St. Dominic to take on the Crusaders on Friday, September 17th.
Valle has been rolling this season and they cruised past St. Vincent last week. The Warriors won 56-14 behind their relentless rushing attack. Bryce Giesler carried the ball 13 times for over 150 yards and found the end zone three times. Chase Fallert had his best game on the ground this season. He ran for over 200 yards and scored two touchdowns. The team racked up 576 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns as a whole.
St. Dominic has also not had many bumps in the road this season. The Crusaders are 3-0 and are outscoring their opponents 170-45. They are coming fresh off of a 44-6 win over St. Charles. Matthew Willenbrink had three touchdowns in the game, two rushings and one receiving. Jackson Overton found the end zone twice as well. Kelly Webly threw a touchdown and put together 116 total yards.
This game is set to be Valle’s toughest test yet. This will be the first time in recent history that these two teams have met up. This is also Valle’s fourth consecutive away game to begin the season. Watch out for these two high-powered offenses to clash on Friday, September 17th at 7 pm in St. Dominic’s house.
Good luck Warriors!
