Ending the season without a title is never easy but for the 2020-2021 Ste. Gen Dragons, you can’t say they didn’t play their hearts out. After starting the season 0-3, the Dragons came back to win 3 of their next 4 and also won a playoff game. Landon Rose played a big part in Ste. Gen’s success this season on the defensive side of the ball.
Rose contributed 27 tackles for the dragons with 3 of them resulting in a loss of yards. Football is something that has been a part of his life for a long time and this turned out to be the last season he will lace up his cleats.
Q: How did you get started in football?
A: I started playing for our local team called Impact in elementary school.
Q: Who have been your biggest influences in football, either directly or indirectly?
A: I would say my biggest influence would be my stepdad. He was a quarterback for Herculaneum high school and later played quarterback at Lindenwood. He helped me a lot with football and I would say my friends are also another big influence on me.
Q: What is one moment in your football career that stands out to you the most?
A: The moments that stand out the most are the times that I have with my teammates in the locker room and even practice. We all just have a good time.
Q: What schools are you considering and do you plan to continue your football career in college?
A: After high school, I don’t think I will continue.
Q: To all of the little ones that have dreams to do what you’re doing, what’s the best advice that you could give them?
A: I would tell all the little kids to keep doing what they like to do and have fun while you’re doing it.
