Cape Central Boys Take 6th at Cape Rock Invitational

The Cape Central boys swimming team participated in the Cape Rock Invitational on Saturday September 12th.

The Cape Central boys swimming team participated in the Cape Rock Invitational on Saturday September 12th. The boys put forth a valiant effort that saw them come in 6th place with 192 total points and only four points behind 5th place Holt. Notre Dame High School ran away with the meet with 372 total team points.

The Tigers started off the meet incredibly well during the 200-yard medley relay when a team comprised of Owen Groves, Jack Maxton, Toby Lin and Elias Theall finished second with a time of 1:50:19.

Maxton did his best to keep the team afloat with two 1st place finishes, one in the 100-yard breaststroke at a time of 1:03:00 and one in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 52:87.

Elias Theall: 200-yard freestyle, 5th place (1:57:22)

Elias Theall: 500-yard freestyle, 5th place (5:11:29)

Toby Lin: 200-yard individual medley, 5th place (2:19:32)

Owen Groves: 100-yard backstroke, 7th place (1:09:07)

Garrison Cabral: 50-yard freestyle, t-24th place (29:15)

Noah McRaven: 100-yard freestyle, 18th place (1:04:19)

Noah McRaven, Creighton Edmundson, Sam Smith, Max Sparks: 200-yard freestyle relay, 10th place (2:00:99)
